ABOUT ME
Hi friends. My pronouns are she, her, hers. I am a proud Buckeye as a graduate of The Ohio State University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in May 2021. While at OSU I worked with Ann Sofie Clemmensen, Daniel Roberts, Crystal Michelle Perkins, Edward Taketa, and Susan Hadley, among others, and have been featured in films shown at international festivals. In the summer of 2019, I was chosen by the OSU faculty to spend 6 weeks studying abroad in Denmark, performing and experiencing the culture. Along with performing, I produced a student-choreographed show in Ohio State's Department of Dance. I also interned at the Wexner Center For The Arts and had my writing published on their website’s Read, Watch, Listen page. Since graduating I am teaching at local dance studios in Allentown, PA and at The Lehigh Valley Charter High School For The Arts. With a big smile on my face, I hope to create a space to explore, listen, and be inspired by the body, nature, my community, and the ever-changing possibilities life and art bring my way.

Artist Statement
As a human who is also an artist I live and feel deeply. I am in process, my art is in process, and the world is in process, who I am and what I am doing is heavily influenced by that. I am in the midst of wild changing things, but I am changing too. I am constantly questioning the world around me and myself, while listening to understand. As a performer and choreographer, I foreground embodiment as a mode of theorizing the world at large. In my artistic process I hope to increase awareness and further understand the impact dance has on the fundamentals of living—feeling, communication, and community. To be seen, heard, loved, to create and connect, through these actions, I strive to generate a space for myself and others to exist.
My art making process and way of life is about existing - it is about existing in our current world that is full of hate and grief in hopes to cultivate and find a more liberating, compassionate, and empathetic life. There is always more love and light to be discovered, embodied, and shared, but I guess that is the optimist in me. It’s that moment when you catch a glimpse of the sun on your face, and that patch of warmth and glow, sends energy throughout your entire body. This desire to seek a greater perhaps leads me to continuously be inspired by the body, nature, my community, and the ever-changing possibilities life and art brings my way. I find community, the people around us, closest to us to be a source of knowledge, support, and inspiration. To put it simply, through my making, I wish to reach all people; people who feel, believe, move, connect.
